I guess we weren’t hungry enough for sour cream during our challenge, as we just didn’t have it for the year, and now that I’ve found out how easy it is to make I’m kicking past self!
Check out this sour cream recipe which gives two methods. Double boiling is simply a method where you place a bowl or pan over another pan in which water is boiling. The steam from the boiling water gently heats up whatever is in the pan above. This method is often used with chocolate and in this case helps prevent the cream from curdling.
