Shipping & Returns
Delivery within New Zealand is made either by Courier Post or Fastway Couriers. We like to keep things simple, so we charge $6 for orders under $80 - above that and it's free! For folk who are lucky enough to live rurally, unfortunately we have to charge you an extra $3.85 for orders under $80, but we'll spring for it if you spend more than $80, so no hard feelings ay?
We obviously have paid a lot of attention to how we package our products for shipping. Our boxes are comprised of at least 90% recycled content, and the envelopes we use are made from 100% recycled material. We use paper based tape, (outrageously expensive by the way!), which can safely go into your paper recycling along with the boxes and envelopes in order to live another day.
We like to stay busy and on top of things here so orders are cleared and processed within 24 hours of the order being made and payment received. We send orders out with our couriers every weekday morning at 8am, so any orders received after 8am Friday will be shipped Monday morning and any orders received on a public holiday will be processed the first working day to follow. All orders processed at this point have a target delivery of the next working day to major urban centres in New Zealand with an extra day or two to rural addresses. We use an overnight courier so you can have your products faster. It also allows us to track and trace the order to your doorstep so if you have any concerns please contact us.
We care about the timeliness of delivery and quality of products you receive. If you make a purchase from off this site and are concerned at the lateness of a delivery or the condition of the goods, please contact us and quote your customer number that you received with your order confirmation.
You can add or remove items from your shopping cart, or cancel your order at any stage during the checkout process. Until your order is confirmed, you are not bound to purchasing products while browsing on our site. To cancel after your order is confirmed, you must contact us directly and quote the order number that you received with your order confirmation by 1pm the day the order is processed. Due to our same day dispatch service, we are unable to cancel an order, or add or remove items from your order after 1pm. Confirmation of your cancellation will be given by email.
Unless otherwise stated with the product information, you can return items sold in the Rubbish Free Store within 7 days of delivery for a part, full credit or refund. Any items that are returned simply because you do not like the product, if returned within 7 working days, and in what Rubbish Free considers an acceptable condition, will result in a credit of the purchase price. In this instance, you will not be entitled to a credit for freight paid to receive or return the product.
If the return is a result of a processing error or product failure we will also cover the shipping costs. Returns for instances such as these will either by replaced with the same product, credited or refunded. Refunds will be given in form of a cheque issued by Rubbish Free and will be posted to the delivery address of the person who makes payment for that product returned. We cannot accept returns of certain items, including:
• Any item that is returned more than 7 days after delivery.
• Any item that is not in its original condition, is damaged, or is missing parts.
Rubbish Free is managed by Matthew Luxon & Waveney Warth from Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand. Items are shipped from our base in Auckland and/or our distribution depot in Christchurch.
