Goodfella Razor and Brush Stand

A New Zealand made shaving brush and razor stand hand crafted from recycled ancient kauri. This special stand will hold all types of razors and most brushes. Each stand is unique with no two pieces of kauri timber the same.

This shaving stand complements the Goodfella Shaving Soap with it's soap box crafted from the same recycled kauri.

Ancient Kauri is the oldest Swamp Kauri found in New Zealand and is the oldest workable wood in the world. New Zealand native Kauri trees (Agathis australis) that fell thousands of years ago. The trees have been buried and preserved underground in swamps for more than 45,000 years. Swamp Kauri is only found in the top half of the North Island of New Zealand. Most of these forests have been buried for up to 3,000 years and research has revealed that the further north, the significantly older it tends to be. Hence the name change from Swamp to Ancient Kauri to better reflect its true age. Numerous independent radio carbon dating confirms that at more than 45,000 years old, the buried Ancient Kauri recovered in the far north of New Zealand by Ancient Kauri Kingdom, is amongst the oldest of all found and it's certainly the oldest workable wood in the world.
